Data You Provide
Search boxes on this site send the name, phone number, or address you enter to the third-party search provider that supplies sponsored results. We do not store those searches on our own servers. If you contact us, we receive the information you choose to send and use it to respond.
Automatic Data
Our hosting systems record ordinary server-log data, such as IP address, browser type, visited pages, and timestamps. We use logs in aggregate to keep the site functioning, diagnose errors, and understand which pages are useful. Cookies or similar tools may be used for basic analytics and, where applicable, advertising measurement.
How We Use Data
We use the limited data described above to operate the site, fix technical issues, measure traffic, and improve our records pages. We do not sell visitor lists. We do not create individual profiles of site users.
Links to Outside Websites
Brentwood People Search links to government portals, Contra Costa County and California records offices, court pages, library collections, and third-party search tools. Each outside site has its own privacy policy. Information you submit to RecorderWorks, NextRequest, My Voter Status, court portals, CDPH, sponsored search tools, or any other outside site is governed by that site's rules.
Who May See Data
Service providers that host or support this site may process server logs for us. Analytics and advertising partners may receive the automatic data described above. We may disclose information if valid legal process requires it. We do not otherwise share visitor data.
How Data Is Protected
The site is served over an encrypted connection. We retain server logs only as long as needed for site operation, security, analytics, and troubleshooting. Because there are no user accounts, this site does not keep account passwords or personal profiles for visitors.
Users Under 18
This site is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor sent personal information to us, use the contact page and we will delete what we can locate.
Your Data Rights
California residents may have privacy rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, along with data-broker deletion rights administered by the California Privacy Protection Agency. Because this site holds very little, most requests are limited to searching contact messages and server logs. Use the Contact page to make a request. Public records held by Brentwood, Contra Costa County, California agencies, courts, or libraries are outside our control, so removal or correction requests for those records must go to the custodian office.
